High Park is full of Victorian, Edwardian and Tudor-style homes, which were built in the late 1800’s. The neighbourhood is also full of brick homes and has a number of condominiums as well, many of which have views that overlook Lake Ontario.
High Park is walking distance to Bloor West Village, which is a popular shopping district in the city. This area is known for its bakeries, specialty food shops, cafes and restaurants.

High Park is a city park that is almost 400 acres of public land. In the park, there is an outdoor theatre, a mini zoo, playgrounds, a restaurant, a museum, gardens, a train and plenty of places to picnic. The park also has a number of sports facilities for activities such as soccer, lawn bowling, tennis, baseball, swimming, skating, and paths for joggers and bikers.
High Park, Runnymede and Keele stations on the Bloor-Danforth subway line are easily accessible in this neighbourhood. The Queensway is about a five-minute drive and connects to Lake Shore and the Gardiner Expressway for easy access to and from the city.
History.
191 High Park Avenue was home to the first mayor, D.W. Clendnan, of West Toronto Junction in 1888. The property was named High Park because of its stunning views of Lake Ontario. The house is still there, but now it serves as a museum.
