Central Toronto REALTORS® reported 184 detached home sales through the Toronto MLS® in August 2021, and on average, these detached homes sold for $2,356,802.
Last year, in August 2020, Toronto MLS® reported 349 freehold detached home sales across Toronto, a 47% decrease in volume for this year. It is worth noting that August 2020 was a record setting month (compared to previous Augusts) for the number of detached and semi-detached homes sold. It was also reported, on average, that freehold detached homes sold for $2,140,968 in August 2020 – and that’s a 10% increase in sale prices for this August.
Concerning semi-detached homes, Central Toronto REALTORS® reported 152 semi-detached home sales in August 2021; and on average, these semi-detached homes sold for $1,436,791 last month.
That compares to 255 semi-detached home sales in August 2020, a 40% decrease in volume for this year. It was also reported that, on average, semi-detached homes sold for $1,368,656 in August 2020 – and that’s a 5% increase in sale prices for this August.
Concerning condo sales, Central Toronto REALTORS® reported 1,018 condo sales in August 2021, and on average, these condos sold for $811,901 last month.
In August 2020, there were 838 condo sales – which is a 21% increase in volume for this year. On average, these condos sold for $783,451 – and that’s a 4% increase in sale prices for this August.
