Duffin Heights, Pickering
Duffin Heights has a dynamic population, and is popular with recent immigrants, families with kids under 5, families with kids aged 5 to 9, people in their 20s, people in their 30s, and people in their 40s. The Duffin Heights neighbourhood, in north Pickering, is bounded by the West Duffins Creek to the west, the Canadian Pacific rail line to the north, the Ajax-Pickering municipal boundary to the east, and the hydro transmission corridor to the south. This is a recent development, beginning in 2012, and is ongoing. The area is home to Pickering Golf Club in the eastern region, part of the Seaton Hiking Trail in the west, and plenty of natural green space and woodlands related to tributaries of the East Duffins Creek. The City of Pickering Operations Centre is located in this neighbourhood. Housing includes multi-storey townhomes and 2-storey detached homes.
