North St. James Town
This neighbourhood has a consistent population, and is popular with recent immigrants, people in their 20s, people in their 30s, people in their 40s, and people in their 50s. North St. James Town is located in central Toronto, just south of Bloor Avenue. St. James Town began to grow in the 19th century when it became a semi-suburban area home to the city’s middle class. Now, St. James Town is the largest high-rise community in Canada. It consists of high-rise buildings (14 to 32 stories). These residential towers were built in the 1960s.
