About the Neighbourhood
Toronto’s Harbourfront is filled with some of the city’s best condos, and with the lake at your doorstep and some of the best views around, it’s no wonder so many condo-lovers have the Harbourfront at the top of their list. Toronto’s downtown Harbourfront neighbourhood along the shore of Lake Ontario is lively and has a community feel that residents will say is quite unique to a condo-dominant neighbourhood. While Toronto’s cold weather keeps things on the quiet side during the winter months, Harbourfront is full of happy people, both residents and visitors enjoying its outdoor spaces all summer long. A popular destination just East of the Harbourfront neighbourhood in Toronto is one of the most popular spots in downtown in the summer – Canada’s Sugar Beach – a whimsical park that transformed a surface parking lot in a former industrial area into Toronto’s second urban beach at the water’s edge. The brightly coloured pink beach umbrellas and iconic candy-striped rock that made Sugar Beach famous are located adjacent to the Redpath Sugar Factory. The 2-acre park is the first public space visitors see as they travel along Queens Quay from the central waterfront.
