I care about families. Investing in a home means you’re making all kinds of choices, for yourself and your kids. I try to help clients make choices that will stand them in good stead down the road.
As a parent, I’ve been through several decades of caring and volunteering. When my kids were little I was the founding president of Mumnet (Metro Mothers Network.) Then came the years of serving on school councils (which gave me much insight into the inner workings of our school system, both at the TDSB and provincial levels!)

I’ve been the chair of Mayfair in Rosedale Park since 2009. This is a terrific community event sponsored by Mooredale House in midtown Toronto, lots of fun for the whole family! Mayfair 2014 will be held on May 9th and 10th. Check out some great photos from Mayfair 2013: http://bit.ly/1ec3Kr4

I have twenty years’ experience as a Realtor. The most satisfying part of my work is in the personal friendships I’ve made.

I care about people in the different stages of their lives. Finding a new home (or moving out of an old one) is often a major turning point.

When people arrive at the time where they become first time buyers, they need a crash course – what it means to own a home, how to make decisions that they won’t regret.

For families downsizing, and seniors, there are real personal issues that need our attention, quite apart from the real estate issues.

With academics and professionals relocating to Toronto, we’ve often taken them through the initial stages of finding a rental while they get established here, and then moved them into a longer term condo or family house.

When listing a home, I help the sellers to understand what the buyers of their home will be looking for. It’s Retailing 101 – our clients need to know which aspects of their home will make people want to buy. When that’s established, the elements of the marketing plan all flow from that.
I work with my husband, James Barrass. We complement each other’s approach, and we work with our clients as a team. We do take our work home, and it’s normal for us to talk over dinner about what would be the best property, or the ideal strategy, for our clients!
